AISAM 2024

AISAM 2024 is the fourth national conference organized in Italy on microalgae after the Italian Forum on Microalgal Technologies, FITEMI 2017, (Palermo), AISAM 2020 (Padua) and AISAM 2022 (Naples).

AISAM 2024 is a national conference on research, production and industrial use of microalgae. It is a multi-disciplinary event, aimed at creating and strengthening links and transversal collaborations between research and industry. It offers a table of comparison and connection between basic research, applied research and business activities for the development of the microalgal biotechnology sector in our country.

Four topics are planned:

Biology of microalgae and physiology of massive cultures

Engineering and process aspects of cultivation and post-harvest

Applications in the agri-food, environmental and industrial sectors

Commercial exploitation: industrial and regulatory aspects

At the end of the Conference the Mario Tredici Award and the Laura Bruno Award will be awarded.
